Novice Course
Our Novice Forklift Training Course is designed for candidates with little or no previous experience operating a forklift truck. The course provides structured, practical training to help candidates develop the knowledge, confidence and skills required to operate safely in the workplace.
Our on-site forklift training is delivered at your workplace using your own equipment, allowing candidates to gain practical experience in a familiar working environment.
Who is this course for?
The Novice Course is suitable for:
- Complete beginners with no previous forklift experience.

- Candidates with very limited practical experience who require full formal training.

What does the Novice Course include?
The course covers the essential knowledge and practical skills required for safe forklift operation, including:
- Operator responsibilities and workplace safety
- Basic principles of forklift stability
- Pre-use inspections and safety checks
- Familiarisation with the forklift and its controls
- Safe starting, stopping and manoeuvring
- Steering and operating in confined areas

How long does the Novice Course take?
For one candidate, a Novice Course normally takes approximately three days, depending on the type of equipment and the candidate’s progress.

On-Site Novice Forklift Training
